I was hoping I'd throw him off and he's answer that. But I expected him to act pretty defensive.

If he's a sheep, I don't see what he has to lose by answering. It's only if he's a wolf then he should feel like an ass.

Well, he's paranoid that if we're voted out, the game will continue with another safe sheep for the wolves to eat instead of Annie. And that'll end up implicating him.

But that's stupid. I wouldn't help out a bunch of wolves that would set me up to be their sacrificial lamb. They can bite me.
